”Since you’re not mad anymore, I definitely have the confidence to face them! And the hot guys of course.” She let go of her lady like tendencies and sat cross legged in the chair. Stopping for a moment to take everything in, she noticed she’d created a bit of an awkward silence. Maybe a joke would brighten the mood some. Havign tension in the air wasn’t very easy on the nerves. “Man, this place is such a dump. It really suits you.” Laughter poured from her lips after trying to keep a straight face at her own horrible joke.
The blonde moved from the chair and over to the kitchen, rummaging through the fridge. “Even your food selection sucks! I think you need to give me one good reason why I should eat the last Popsicle in your freezer because it is practically calling my name.” She reached for it, the wrapper crinkling as she opened it.
Whether he had said yes or no, she took a bite of it anyways. The bite was followed by a series of “ow’s” and whining at the coldness. Though, she supposed she deserved it. “Holy shit. Karma really is a bitch.” The girl held the Popsicle out to him and covered her mouth with the other hand. “You win! It’s yours!”
A small, nervous smile made its way onto his features – the usual one, so there was nothing new there. “They’ll be happy to see you,” he said, and actually sounded pretty confident about that. And he was, though he couldn’t be sure that there wouldn’t be any negative reaction before the happiness came, just as had happened with him. “.. Thanks, Kida-chan,” he deadpanned in reply to her comment, used to the way she would speak about his place and actually agreeing with her anyway. Apart from that last part – it so did not suit him!
Pushing himself up from his seat, Mikado followed her and paused. “I have what I can afford!” He protested, frowning at her as she pulled out the last of his cold treat. He didn’t make any move to try and stop her, however – she could have it if she wanted. They were pretty cheap anyway.
And, of course, because she would do something like that. “You’re such an idiot,” was laughed out, taking the Popsicle from her and taking a triumphant nibble from the corner. Mikado was smart about these kinds of things, unlike his friend. “You only have yourself to blame.”
